What is health coaching, and what does a health coach do?

Health coaching is a collaborative process that helps you turn your goals into realistic, sustainable action.

As your health coach, I help you identify what’s getting in your way, explore what you need to be successful, and create habits and routines that fit your everyday life. I provide support, accountability, and a judgment-free space to help you build confidence and make lasting behavior changes.

For gluten-free living, this might look like working through challenges with grocery shopping, reading labels, eating out, social situations, meal planning, or simply figuring out how to make gluten-free living feel less overwhelming.

As a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), I don’t diagnose or treat medical conditions, provide medical nutrition therapy, or prescribe meal plans. Those services are provided by qualified healthcare professionals, such as your physician or Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN).

Think of it this way: your healthcare team can help you understand what you need to do for your health; coaching helps you figure out how to make it work in your real life.

Who is gluten-free coaching for?

Gluten-free coaching is for anyone looking for support navigating a gluten-free lifestyle. You do not need a Celiac Disease diagnosis to benefit from coaching.

I work with clients living gluten-free for many reasons, including Celiac Disease, non-celiac gluten sensitivity, wheat allergies, a medical recommendation, or personal choice.

If you suspect you may have Celiac Disease, talk with your doctor before going gluten-free. Removing gluten before testing can affect your results.

Whether you’re brand new to gluten-free living or have been doing it for years, coaching can help you feel more confident, prepared, and supported.

Can you support someone with Celiac Disease?

Absolutely!

Following a strict gluten-free diet is essential for people with Celiac Disease, but navigating everyday life can still be challenging.

We can work on practical strategies for grocery shopping, reading labels, eating out, social situations, travel, avoiding cross-contact, and creating routines that make gluten-free living feel more manageable.

My goal is to help you feel confident navigating your gluten-free life.

Can you help me with grocery shopping, reading labels, eating out, and social situations?

Absolutely! These real-life situations are a big part of what we can work on together.

We’ll identify the situations that feel most challenging and create practical strategies that work for you.

The goal is to help you go from “I’m overwhelmed—what do I do?” to “I know how to handle this.”

What can I expect from working together?

You can expect a supportive, judgment-free space focused on your goals, your lifestyle, and what works for you.

We’ll identify what’s getting in your way, break goals into manageable steps, create realistic routines, and work through challenges along the way.

I’ll provide support and accountability while you build the skills and confidence to navigate gluten-free living on your own.

What happens during a Gluten-Free Clarity Call?

The Gluten-Free Clarity Call is a chance for us to connect, talk about what’s challenging you, and explore what kind of support you’re looking for.

You can ask questions, learn more about coaching, and see if we’re a good fit.

There’s no pressure and no need to have everything figured out before you call.

Do you work with clients outside of North Carolina? Is coaching virtual?
